Construction process of flexible wall tiles

Five steps of flexible wall tiles construction

Ⅰ. Type setting

1. According to the technical design requirements and construction modulus, the joint width shall be determined, and the whole block operation can be used for grid trial arrangement.

2. Ensure that the gap of flexible wall tiles are uniform and meet the design requirements. Attention should be paid to the arrangement of whole bricks for large walls, columns and stacks. When it is unavoidable, the incomplete bricks should be arranged in the secondary parts, such as the wall between windows or internal corners, etc., and attention should be paid to coordination and symmetry.

3. In case of any wall protrusion, the flexible wall tiles around the wall should be cut and matched with each other, and the edges should be neat. It is not allowed to use incomplete bricks to assemble and paste at will.

4. Take the specification and size of flexible wall tiles as the standard, pop up the vertical line and horizontal line as the paste control line according to the trial arrangement effect and the multiple of the whole block.

Ⅱ. Paste

1. Adhesive: professional adhesive for flexible wall tiles, which should be mixed evenly with electric tools when mixing.

2. When the specification of flexible wall tiles are 300 mm * 300 mm and less, the full scraping method on the back of flexible wall tiles can be adopted, with the thickness of about 4 mm; when the specification of flexible wall tiles is more than 600 mm * 600 mm, the method of full scraping on both sides of the back and the wall of the flexible wall tiles must be adopted, and the thickness is about 3 mm. When scraping, the tooth shape scraper should be used, and the tooth depth should be 5 ~ 6 mm.

3. The pasting order of flexible wall tiles are from top to bottom.

4. When pasting the flexible wall tiles, use both hands to move back and forth, knead and align the lines, and tamp with the rubber plate to make the adhesive evenly squeeze to the edge of the tiles. It is not allowed to use the leather hammer or other objects to knock and tamp the flexible wall tiles like hard tiles.

5. In the process of pasting the flexible wall tiles, the adhesive extruded to the edge of the tile should be cleaned in time to avoid affecting the pointing effect.

6. Before the initial setting of the bonding layer, the position of the facing brick and the width of the mortar joint can be properly adjusted. It is strictly forbidden to disturb the pasted flexible wall tiles face brick from the initial setting of the bonding layer to the complete solidification stage.

Ⅲ. Joint cleaning, caulking and pointing

For non dense joint, single component joint agent (flexible wall tiles professional sealant with anti efflorescence function, black or cement gray color can be selected or determined by design), and the mixing method is the same as that of adhesive.

1. Seam cleaning: when the splicing method is adopted, because the thickness of the flexible wall tiles is only 2 ~ 3mm, it is necessary to carry out the joint cleaning treatment to facilitate the filling of the sealant paste. If the joint is not cleared, the normal joint filling and pointing operation can not be carried out after the joint adhesive is dried. The joint cleaning operation must be completed after pasting and before the initial setting of the adhesive. It is convenient to clean up immediately after pasting, and it can be used with spatula blade or small flat blade.

2. Caulking: after adjusting the joint filler, it can be poured into the plastic triangle bag, and the back part should be tied tightly; According to the requirements of seam width, use scissors to cut a small opening properly, extrude it with a little force, fill it in the seam, and properly pop out the seam. The joint filler should not be too dry or too thin to facilitate extrusion and not flow.

3. Jointing: after the sealing material is properly watered, and before it is dry (controlled by workers according to weather conditions), the smooth steel bar round bar shall be used for pointing, from top to bottom, short joint first and then long joint. The diameter of the pointing round bar shall be 2-4mm larger than the joint width.

Ⅳ. Cleaning

1. No matter in the process of bonding or pointing, attention should be paid not to contaminate the board surface with adhesive or sealant. If it is not carefully touched on the board surface, do not wipe wet before the contaminated slurry is dry, so the scratch marks left will pollute the board surface in a larger area and it is not easy to clean up.

2. The correct way to deal with it is: after the initial setting, remove it with a tool such as a gray knife, and then wipe it with dry towel or sponge at the contaminated place.

3. If the whole scaffold is removed after the construction is completed, if there is a whole dirt phenomenon, it is possible to use vehicle foam cleanser and weak dilute oxalic acid solution similar to the clean tile to clean the whole body. Do not use hard material such as steel ball to avoid scratching flexible wall tiles. No matter what kind of cleaning treatment is done, local small sample experiment should be done in advance, and large-scale operation can be carried out after the effect is approved.

V. Finished product protection

1. After pasted with flexible wall tiles, temporary protective measures must be taken for parts that may cause pollution due to follow-up works such as paint and waterproof.

2. Temporary protection measures shall be taken for the entrance, passage, external corner and other parts that may be damaged during construction.

3. Water, electricity, equipment installation and other processes should be reasonably arranged, and holes should not be drilled after pasting flexible wall tiles building decoration materials. If it is necessary to cut holes after pasting flexible wall tiles building decoration materials, it can only be carried out when the adhesive is completely consolidated.
